Refund & Cancellation Policy

How to stop renewal, when paid access ends, and when a Paddle transaction may qualify for a refund.

Last updated: August 26, 2026

1. Merchant of Record

Paddle is the authorized reseller and Merchant of Record for purchases made through Paddle Checkout. Paddle is the seller, collects payment and applicable taxes, issues receipts and invoices, and processes cancellations, disputes, and approved refunds.

This Policy supplements Paddle’s Refund Policy and Buyer Terms. If mandatory law or Paddle’s terms give you greater rights, those rights apply.

2. Canceling a subscription

You can cancel renewal at any time through the billing area in your Loocls account, the Paddle customer portal, the manage-subscription link in your Paddle receipt, or Paddle buyer support.

Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, cancellation is effective at the end of the current paid billing period. You keep paid access until that date and will not be charged for another period. Cancel before the renewal date shown in your portal to avoid renewal; do not wait until after a renewal charge has been submitted.

Canceling renewal does not delete your Loocls account. You may request account deletion separately under our Privacy Policy.

3. General refund rule

Except where required by law, stated in Paddle’s Refund Policy, or approved for a qualifying product defect, completed transactions are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not create a prorated refund for the current billing period.

We generally do not offer refunds or credits for:

  • unused time in a billing period after cancellation;
  • unused credits, changes of mind, inactivity, or failure to cancel before renewal;
  • dissatisfaction with AI output where the Service was delivered as described;
  • third-party platform changes, moderation decisions, ranking changes, or outages outside our control;
  • features unavailable because of your device, configuration, connected account, or violation of our Terms.

These examples do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

4. Statutory withdrawal rights

Consumers in some countries have a statutory cooling-off or withdrawal period for digital services. Paddle’s current Refund Policy explains applicable periods and exceptions, including when immediate access to or use of digital content affects a withdrawal right.

For example, qualifying consumers in the EU, EEA, and UK may have a 14-day right to withdraw from certain transactions, subject to rules for digital content or services that begin immediately with the consumer’s consent. Other countries may provide different rights. Paddle determines eligibility using the transaction location and applicable law; nothing here reduces those rights.

5. Defective, duplicate, or unauthorized transactions

Contact us promptly if a material technical defect prevents access to the paid Service as described. Include the account email, transaction reference, dates, and troubleshooting details. We will try to restore access or provide information Paddle needs to evaluate a refund.

For duplicate or unauthorized charges, use the support link in the Paddle receipt or contact Paddle buyer support promptly. Paddle may request information to verify the transaction and prevent fraud.

6. How to request a refund

  • Use “View receipt” or “Manage subscription” in Paddle’s transaction email.
  • Use the support or refund option in the Paddle customer portal.
  • Visit paddle.net.
  • Email [email protected] so we can investigate product delivery and provide relevant information to Paddle.

Provide the email used at checkout and the Paddle transaction or receipt reference. Do not send full card details. We may recommend a refund, but Paddle, as seller, confirms eligibility and issues the funds.

7. Refund processing

Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method where possible. Paddle states that eligible refunds are processed within 14 days of approval; your bank or payment provider may take additional time to display the funds. Currency conversion or bank fees are controlled by the payment providers and are not refundable by Loocls, except where required by law.

A full refund may end paid access and may reverse unused credits or benefits associated with that transaction. We will not remove rights or content you retain under applicable law or our Terms of Service.
